Arizona was the 48th state to be added to the Union, the last of the Continental States. Flagstaff is a popular tourist spot, boasting around five million visitors a year, because it’s along the famous Route 66 and close to Grand Canyon National Park. The city is home to Northern Arizona University, one of the largest universities in the state, and one of the few schools in Flagstaff offering college courses online.
