Udacity to Create Startup Weekend Next
Massive Open Online Course provider Udacity has inked a partnership agreement with three tech companies to create a free online college course dedicated to helping entrepreneurs create a successful startup.
The four-week course, entitled "how to build a successful startup," unites Udacity with Startup Weekend, TechStars, Startup America and Steve Blank to teach 30,000 entrepreneurs the basics of business model design and customer development. Students will be given a common start-up language as well as the tools to take their early-stage startup from an idea to a business.
The content will be provided Steve Blank, who previously taught the Udacity class Lean LaunchPad, and will be delivered as one of Udacity's online classes to flipped classrooms run by Startup Weekend in 25 cities worldwide.
The class will leverage Startup America's network of 30 Startup Regions which will allow students to engage entrepreneurial leaders throughout the country. Participants will also be able to engage TechStars' experienced startup veterans in live coaching sessions.
The first class begins on Nov. 28, visit swnext.org for more information.
