Online College Courses Available in Vermont (VT)

There are five schools comprising the Vermont State Colleges system of publicly funded institutions of higher learning. These institutions are the Community College of Vermont, Vermont Technical College, Lyndon State College, Johnson State College, and Castleton State College. Online college courses in Vermont are offered at most of these schools and at many of the other 18 colleges, universities, and technical schools in the state. Vermont also has a number of master’s degree universities, while its biggest school, the University of Vermont, is a public, four-year, research institution.

Montpelier. Vermont’s state capital, Montpelier, has the smallest state capital population in the United States, with just more than 7,000 residents, according to the 2010 census. Despite its size, the city is home to a number of specialty colleges, as well as several museums and art centers.
