Udacity Teams with University of Alberta to Improve Course Delivery Methods

Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) provider Udacity signed an agreement with the University of Alberta develop the next generation of MOOCs. Researchers from the university's Alberta Innovates Centre for Machine Learning, as well as professors from the schools of education and science, will work with Udacity.

The partnership agreement will allow Udacity to build on the university's data-drive research methods for online education, methods that have been honed through years of research into machine learning. Additionally, the partnership creates a pilot program for the development of a series of courses by University of Alberta science faculty that will be offered on Udacity, with the expectation that at least one will be for credit.
